Of course, with DropCall365 being a feel-good telecoms company, we also had to ask them who was the last person they called?

Alex, Travel and Mental Health Blogger, Vlogger & 1:1 Wellness Online Programme Leader: Mexico

What do you love about what you do?

I love writing about travel and mental health, inspiring others and helping others. I love that I can work from a beautiful country and be surrounded by digital nomads and expats who are on a similar path to myself.

Thing you are most proud of/biggest achievement?

My biggest achievement is being able to live here in Mexico, it's not easy, starting out as a digital nomad is tough, you are completely reliant on yourself and you don't know where your next pay cheque is coming, but three months in and I have never once looked back.

Your message for other women?

Follow your dream, life is short and there is a big world out there, don't feel scared by the big wide world, I feel more at home in Mexico than I did in the UK.

Last person you called?

My Dad, he's very supportive of what I am doing as he has suffered with mental health and knows that there is more to life than chasing money, so I like to chat to him often to remind myself that I may not be earning the money that the corporate lifestyle secures you with, but happiness is worth so much more.

Amy, Artist: Sunshine Coast, Australia

What do you love about what you do?

As an artist, I love that I can spend my days creating. For me, art is a form of meditation and my drive to create comes from somewhere deep in my soul. It doesn’t really feel like a choice. My life feels more in flow when I am creating on a regular basis and getting lost in play. I feel very lucky that I get to do this for my ‘job’.

Dream destination?

I love it here, but the next destinations on the bucket list are Japan, New Zealand (as my partner is originally from there), and Costa Rica.

Thing you are most proud of/biggest achievement?

I am proud that I had the courage to take a leap of faith in 2019 and leave my corporate gig, fall into the unknown and eventually find my way back to art. I am also currently pregnant with my first child - that’s definitely my biggest creation to date!!

Your message for other women?

Follow your dreams and listen to your gut! If you are feeling pulled towards or away from something - follow that feeling. It doesn’t need to make sense. You just need to take the first step and the universe will meet you halfway. The world needs people who are living their purpose - it’s your service to this planet - so who are you not to!

Last person you called?

My friend to organise a chai catch-up.

Claire, Writer and co-founder of The Vintage Ring Company: Oxfordshire, UK

What do you love about what you do?

My day job is writing, but with The Vintage Ring Company, I get to work on something that I am passionate about. Because we are a relatively new company, I couldn’t do one without the other, but I love having something that is mine. My favourite part is bidding for rings at auction - it feels a bit like gambling and is a great feeling when you win.

Thing you are most proud of/biggest achievement?

Launching my website was a big achievement. It took months of writing, designing and tinkering to get it looking how we wanted it to look. It was a much bigger job than I anticipated and it was very satisfying when we went live.

Your message for other women?

Stick together - women are our biggest champions and strongest allies! I founded The Vintage Ring Company with a jeweller who I became friends with during my years as a journalist. She is an absolute joy to work with - she understands that I have a busy life, and vice versa, and that understanding makes working together so much easier because there are no unreasonable demands.

Last person you called?

My best friend.

Emma, Life Coach, a Sattva Yoga, Meditation and Kundalini Teacher: Netherlands

What do you do?

I am a Life Coach, a Sattva Yoga, Meditation and Kundalini Teacher, and I am also studying Jyotish - Vedic Astrology. All of these are beautiful & powerful tools to go deeper in yourself, to understand, to be able to navigate through the journey in a more elegant manner, to become more free, light and joyful.

What do you love about what you do?

The incredible uplifting, enlivening and elevating energy I get from all I am teaching, learning and sharing. True knowledge and profound practices are so empowering, and all these techniques and tools that I learn and teach are so relevant, so practical and so fruitful. It’s beautiful to witness the effects and rapid changes in my own life, and it brings me great joy to be able to serve and help others through this as well.

Where in the world are you?

Currently, I am based in the rural part of the Netherlands, which I see as a little pitstop in between the exotic and exciting locations that have come before this and will come after.

Dream destination?

The journey itself! A few years ago, I was always living in my mind. There was always this imaginary picture of something I was working towards, the next goal, the next destination, the next something. I am still a dreamer and I have big visions of what I would like to experience in this lifetime. Yet, I have had the most unexpected and beautiful experiences when I let go of living in the future scenario. The moments of being in awe with life, seeing the pure beauty of it and being surprised by it. And to still give you a visual experience: I love the mountains, the river and the sea, I love outdoors, I love the tea fields and the highlands. The Himalayas feel like home. There’s something so moving about the giant mountains. And as much as I love the mountains, I love the night sky, the milky way, seeing the Moon in every phase.

Thing you are most proud of/biggest achievement?

My inner transformation. The demons that I have faced and transcended, of the internal battles that had been going for so long, have been dissolved by starting to see from a place of love, trust and inner power. From there, I started to see my life change 180 degrees!

Your message for other women?

Fill your heart up yourself. You’re incredible, powerful, worthy and deserving. Give yourself all that you need, and give yourself permission to bloom and flourish in your own timing. From that place, magic will start to happen. You are beautiful. Be as loving and gentle to yourself as you’d be to your best friend. I love you.

Last person you called?

The last person I called is Merel, my dear and crazy friend with whom I spend months in India. Whenever we’re together, there seems to be too little time for ALL that we are so eager to talk and laugh about.
